A Decade in the Making

Ten years ago, I set out to build something different in access rental. This year marks that milestone, and over the past decade the leadership behind it has grown too: an industry veteran with more than three decades of experience establishing access rental businesses across Southern Africa now serves alongside me as chairman and shareholder, and together we’ve digitised our fleet — putting the right booking and tracking systems in place for our clients.

Fleet & Sectors Served

Our fleet is fully electric and hybrid, supported by a service approach built around the demands of the industries we serve — events, electrical contracting, warehousing and logistics, construction, and more. Our equipment covers everything from temporary structures and staging at fast-moving events, to electrical installations where precision, reach and uptime are critical, to racking and high-bay storage in warehousing and logistics. Whatever the application, our focus stays the same: the right equipment, backed by the support our customers deserve.

The Team Behind It

Our hire desk, marketing, and logistics departments are led and staffed by passionate women who keep the business running day to day — coordinating bookings, fleet movement, and client relationships with real precision — backed by fully qualified, certified operators in the field.

Industry Recognition

Beyond South Africa’s borders, Access International has featured both me and Kwick Access Rentals. This October I’ll be a judge at the International Awards for Powered Access in Turkey, recognising the standout projects, equipment and people shaping the powered access industry worldwide. It’s recognition that reflects what our whole team has built.

Smart Start Monday

Smart Start Monday, our biggest initiative this year, is an in-house created and directed series of short video clips, generated weekly in partnership with the Institute for Work at Height and shared across platforms to working-at-height users throughout the industry. Hosted by “Stefi”, it covers a different topic each week and is independently verified for SAIOSH CPD points. We’ve been thrilled with the feedback — users tell us it’s assisting them in refreshing their training between formal courses.

Closing

Ten years in, that’s the standard we’ve built this business on — shaped around the industries we serve, the people running it, and the safety culture behind it all. None of it would have been possible without the clients who’ve trusted and supported us along the way, and we’re grateful for every one of them.
