In addition to its suitability for long reach applications, the new crane offers an extended free-standing height of 77.2 metres – good for high-rise buildings. This height is achieved by combining C809 and KMT850 tower sections. It means fewer ties to the building are needed, making for simpler and faster erection. Limited space

The 15 metre out of service swing radius helps on small and congested urban job sites.

The new crane is designed to meet FEM standards and is built at the company’s factory in China for local and international markets. It is “ready to perform in diverse climates and construction environments worldwide,” the company said.

It can handle either 50 or 60 Hz power supplies and the adaptive power control feature reduces power consumption where full speed and power are not required.

Commenting on the new crane Lv Weidong, Potain product manager, said, “Its powerful lifting capabilities and global adaptability make it an excellent choice for high-rise and complex construction projects.”
